We are required to do a conflicts check before we can meet with you. You will typically receive a confirmation from us via email within one (1) business day, or we may contact you for additional information if we notice a possible conflict with one of our previous clients.
Since this is a boutique firm, if the information you provide suggests that our firm is not the best fit for your legal needs (e.g., you need assistance in a non-entertainment matter or are interested in filing a lawsuit), we may cancel the appointment and suggest that you contact another lawyer/firm.
Please note that scheduling an appointment, receiving a free consultation, or paying a consultation fee does not create an attorney-client relationship and Amy does not give specific legal advice to non-clients. The purpose of an initial conversation is simply to
provide you with information about whether the firm offers the type of
legal assistance that you need, evaluate the scope of work required, and
give you an estimate of cost. Accordingly, an attorney-client relationship is only created when a fee agreement is signed and the requisite retainer fee is paid to Amy E Mitchell, PLLC.
